Paper Quilling Basic Shapes

Open And Closed Coil




From a simple circle, you can easily make different shapes. For the first time, I suggest you use readymade paper strips when you habitual then cut the strips from paper. 
First, you need a slotted quilling tool and insert a paper strip in it. Then you roll it according to the width of the circle you require. In the last, if you want a close coil, remove the circle from the tool and add a gab of glue on it.
And if you want an open coil then remove it from the tool and allow it to expand. Once it has fully expanded, add a dab of glue and press the strip down carefully to secure.


Tear Drop


Make an open coil, at that point place it between the thumb and pointer of your non-prevailing hand. Organize within curls uniformly or any way you'd like. Pinch the paper where you want the point to create a teardrop.


Marquis




First, make a teardrop shape and pinch the opposite end as well. The last shape will be controlled by the amount you squeeze or press the coil together and where you place its middle.

First, make marquis shape then turn the shape on its side and pinch a center peak with your fingers.

Square or Diamond


Turn Marques shape into 90 degrees and squeeze the two sides once more. This will make a Diamond shape.
